Explore New Orleans Museum of Art
Opened in 1911, the New Orleans Museum of Art (or NOMA) boasts one of the South's finest collections of artwork, particularly from France and the United States. The permanent collection of more than 40,000 pieces features a range of genres including painting, photography and glass. The Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden consists of over 60 sculptures, trees, lagoons, foot bridges and winding paths through a beautifully landscaped 5 acres. Be sure to bring your appetite because the Museum's Cafe NOMA was deemed one of America's Best Museum Restaurants by Travel + Leisure magazine and looks out over City Park.
