Tour Audubon Zoo in New Orleans

Spanning 58 acres in historic Uptown New Orleans, Audubon Zoo showcases and protects exotic animals from around the globe. Enjoy hands-on animal encounters, theater shows, lush gardens, rides and unique natural habitat exhibit, such as the Louisiana Swamp, African Savannah and Jaguar Jungle. Meet amazing and endangered animals like leopards, zebras, giraffes, orangutans, white tigers, and elephants. Kids and families will love the Cool Zoo, the wild and wet splash park, Swamp Train and the Kamba Kourse. The Audubon Zoo is an amazing attraction for family fun, innovation and entertainment.

    The Audubon Zoo feature naturalistic animal habitats where people connect with nature. The Zoo is home to 2,000 animals, including tigers, jaguars, zebras, giraffes, elephants, gorillas, cougars, and bobcats. Explore incredible exhibits such as Jaguar Jungle, African Savanna, Asia, and the new Louisiana Swamp. Walk over to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas where you will encounter sharks, rays, sea turtles and penguins.

    The Audubon Zoo is an exciting and education place for kids. See an animal show at Audubon Zoo's Shell's Wildlife On Stage. Ride the beautifully decorated Gottesman Family Endangered Species Carousel, or take a ride on the Swamp Train. Challenge the Kamba Kourse, a four-story adventure ropes course in the African Savanna. Have a blast at the Cool Zoo, the topwater park in New Orleans with water slides, beaches and a lazy river. The Audubon Zoo also features exiting events, educational programs and summer camps.
