Explore the Audubon Park in New Orleans

Located across the street from Tulane and Loyola universities, Audubon Park is a lovely destination for New Orleans locals and visitors, offering a wide array of activities and attractions. Cascade Stables is a must-see for horse enthusiasts, and offers riding lessons and pony rides. The Audubon Park Golf Course is open to the public, and tee times can be reserved online for $35 to $45. On a hot day easily access the Park via the St. Charles streetcar. The Park has two playgrounds, plus bird watching and tennis. There is also a beautiful 1.8 mile loop park visitors may enjoy while jogging, walking or biking.

  • Are picnic shelters available for rent?

    Yes, there are 3 shelters that can accommodate 25 or more guests. They can be reserved in advance for a $75 fee, and are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are outlets available for outdoor cooking, tables, and nearby restroom facilities. Fill out the online form to request a shelter rental.
  • Is there a place to eat in Audubon park?

    The Audubon Park Clubhouse Cafe is open to the public Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and serves breakfast and lunch items. On Sundays, it serves a brunch buffet and is open from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Popular dishes are the beignet sticks, omelets and Gulf shrimp po'boy. Reservations are recommended for parties of 6 or more, especially on special holidays. Call (504) 212-5282 to make a reservation.
